Sustainable timber panel manufacturer MEDITE SMARTPLY has partnered with RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s most decorated designer Sarah Eberle to produce a garden themed around sustainability and the versatility of MEDITE SMARTPLY products.
MEDITE SMARTPLY aims to showcase its innovative products and commitment to sustainable building at the world-famous flower show.
The objective is to highlight the creative potential for engineered wood panels for use in sustainable building.
MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME (MTX) is one of the products used in the development of the new garden – an MDF specifically formulated to resist the effects of water outdoors. It can last up to 50 years outdoors above ground, or up to 25 years in direct contact with the ground.
It is a sustainably produced, using pine thinnings from sustainably managed forests in Ireland, organically treated for resistance to fungal decay through an organic process called acetylation. It has been used for garden sculptures, planters, and alongside a structural frame for outdoor seating and garden rooms, amongst many other examples.
“Although our products have long been used at events as renowned as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we wanted to use this opportunity to show the world just how far wood panel products have come in terms of innovation and sustainability,” commented Chris King, Managing Director – Commercial, at MEDITE SMARTPLY.
“Not only can MEDITE SMARTPLY panel products help you to achieve the most stringent sustainability criteria, but they can do so in a way that does not limit the creativity and inspiration of the world’s best designers.”
