GftK’s vdw 850 Paving Jointing mortar supplied by NCC Streetscape was specified and installed for the refurbishment and repointing of Porphyry Setts in Newark Market Square for the District Council back in 2007.
Following inspection after just over 14 years in late 2021, the conclusion was that the paving and GftK’s jointing is still performing well every day and will continue to do so for many years to come - local authority cost efficiency and sustainability in paving.
The Newark market square paving is still sound, after more than 14 years continuous service with open air markets and events 6 days a week as well as Alfresco eating and drinking whenever the weather allows. This includes continuous exposure to all forms of traffic, from pedestrians to heavy duty brewery drays, articulated delivery trucks and other vehicles every day, plus the frequent use of de-icing salts in winter and regular sweeping and washing by mechanical street cleaning machines.
Newark is another project proving the high performance and durability of GftK’s vdw 850 Paving Joint Mortar - every day.
