Basildon's Lake Meadows and Billericay’s Northlands parks have recently seen a notable makeover with the addition of new Proludic play and sports equipment.
These upgrades have revitalised these beloved community spaces, offering inclusive experiences for all ages.
The two new installations now cater to toddlers, juniors, and teens, fostering a space for families to bond. While additionally the Northlands space allows users to pursue fitness goals. Basildon Council's commitment to enhancing residents' lives is evident in these innovative recreational areas.
Proludic's winning design for Northlands boasts 40 innovative play elements, transforming an old football area into a vibrant Multi Social Area. The park's natural surroundings blend seamlessly with Proludic's design philosophy, featuring bespoke elements like a tugboat and a 4-meter-high Tree House.
Proludic secured the project by winning the community's preference from a selection of five play designs. What set Proludic apart was their visionary concept, featuring a wide array of 40 innovative play elements, many of which are inclusive, and designed to accommodate over 200 users simultaneously.
Lake Meadows Park also underwent a refurbishment, incorporating a local story about a Wizard and Dragon. The space now includes fully accessible safety surfacing and various new features such as a twin castle multiplay bespoke unit and an ACTI'Ninja aerial crossing with Sky Rail. Children can now explore wizard-themed sensory boards and engage with the story as they play. Proludic's commitment to inclusivity is evident with accessible equipment choices throughout both parks, ensuring a unique play experience for everyone.
Throughout the play area, children will encounter bespoke wizard-themed sensory boards and fun panels, a dragon-themed height chart, and opportunities to engage with and read the story along the way. Proludic ensured that all ages and abilities were catered to by ensuring its equipment choices were accessible, including an inclusive ground trampoline.
