APL Awards 2026 winners announced

Nearly 600 members of the landscaping and garden design industry gathered at The Brewery in London for the biggest Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards to date, with a record number of entries, delegates and category winners.

The prestigious APL Awards celebrate excellence in the industry and recognise the outstanding projects created by the Horticultural Trades Association’s (HTA) specialist landscaper and designer members over the past year.

The 2026 ceremony, sponsored by Bradstone, was hosted by APL General Manager Phil Tremayne and garden designer Peter Donegan, with award‑winning garden designer Darren Hawkes delivering the keynote speech.

An expert judging panel of respected industry professionals meticulously evaluated 125 finalists across 22 categories to select the best projects and category winners from a pool of outstanding submissions. The panel was chaired by Bob Sweet from BBC Gardeners’ World Live, and included Rod Winrow from Garden House Design, Laura Anstiss from Oakmore Green, Rupert Keys from TASK Academy, and Phil Tremayne, General Manager of APL.

In total, 27 awards were presented. Landform Consultants Limited took home the much-coveted Supreme Winner title for Berkshire Garden, a very complex design on multiple levels, using random Yorkstone handmade brick, a contemporary water table discharging into a series of Corten rills, Renson canopy, full irrigation and lighting scheme, and supply and planting, including new lawns.

The judges said: “This project is an example of excellence in both design and construction. It’s a hugely developed scheme, the thought into detail is very impressive, as is the scale of endeavour.”

Phil Tremayne, General Manager of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL), said:

“The APL Awards are the highlight of my year, where I get to join my colleagues in celebrating the outstanding achievements in landscape design and recognise the talented landscapers and garden designers in our membership whose creativity and skill transform gardens across the UK.

“The APL prides itself on professionalism, and the standards of the winners this year reflect our members’ dedication and how they strive for excellence in their work. Congratulations to our winners and to all the finalists who have once again made the APL Awards a must-attend event in the landscaping calendar.”

The APL Awards are in partnership with headline sponsor Bradstone, as well as Aquascapes, BBC Gardeners’ World Live, Bury Hill Landscape Supplies, Composite Prime, Country Supplies, Decking Network, GRAB, Grad System, Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), Kingston Landscaping Group, Lawsons (Whetstone), Makita, Perennial, Pro Landscaper, Provender Nurseries, Readyhedge Ltd, Steintec, StraightCurve and Viridis Plants.
