Makita continues to push the boundaries of cordless cutting power with its 40VMax CE003G XGT and 40VMax CE004G XGT Disc Cutters.
Featuring advanced brushless motor technology and compatibility with Makita’s growing XGT range, the high output tools set the standard for efficient, high performance cutting jobs on site.
Powerful yet lightweight, Makita’s CE003G and CE004G are designed to tackle high demand tasks with ease. The CE003G operates at 6,600rpm with a 230mm blade, delivering a maximum cutting depth of 88mm. The CE004G runs at 5,000rpm with a larger 305mm blade, achieving an impressive cutting depth of 121mm for heavy-duty applications.
Both machines are ideal for cutting concrete, stone and metal and suitable for rigorous tasks such as construction and masonry work. Each machine also features a rotating wheel guard, which can be adjusted for different working postures to reduce strain. This paired with both machine’s light bodyweight (the CE003G body only weighing just 7.4kg when fitted with a BL4080F 8.0Ah battery and the CE004G at 7.7kg when fitted with a BL4080F 8.0Ah battery) and a double handle design offers excellent comfort, control and manoeuvrability.
Additionally, the tools are further engineered for user comfort and safety, featuring an anti-vibration housing with a built-in damper spring. This delivers impressively low vibration levels of just 3.0 m/s2 for the CE003G and 3.8 m/s2 for the CE004G; this is lower than comparable petrol-powered models. They also offer reliable starting without the use of petrol, even in oxygen deficient environments and produce no emissions or exhaust gases, making them a great solution for indoor, outdoor and underground use.
User safety is further enhanced through the tools’ active feedback sensors that automatically shut down the tool in the event of kickback or if the blade rotation suddenly slows down, alongside an electric brake for increased productivity and operator safety. A safety lock-off button also helps prevent accidental start-up and users can also choose to connect a water supply to aid dust suppression. Finally, the tools also feature an added LED light to ensure clear visibility of the cutting line in low light conditions.
