British mower manufacturer Ransomes is launching the HR380 Outfront Rotary and Flail mower, a machine designed to put the operator first.
Working with professionals across landscaping, municipal and commercial mowing, Ransomes product manager, Lee Kristensen, has led the development of the HR380 with the people who use it as the focus.
Taking on that feedback has led to the production of a mower that is cleaner, more powerful, and has the versatility to meet the requirements of working on different projects on a daily basis.
Lee explains: “It was very important for us during the design process to work with the end-users and see how our plans and their needs matched. We know reliability and performance are crucial, and we have features on the HR380 that make maintenance quick and diagnostics easy to carry out.
“The users of the machine are going to be mowing on areas with varying grass lengths, so we’ve ensured they get the same cut quality in every situation. That contributes to the overall efficiency of the mower as do the ergonomics and fingertip controls on the operator station.”
The mower can be operated with a rotary or Muthing Flail deck to maximise productivity and cut quality, whilst there are options to store additional equipment needed for a day’s work on the mower. Integrated LED lights and mirrors allow for safe on-road transportation between sites, and an electronic hydraulic parking brake ensures confident slope holding.
