Campey Turf Care Systems has expanded its specialist drainage and construction range by taking on distribution of the TCT Fairway Trencher from TrenchIt, a machine purpose-built for golf course fairway drainage and infrastructure installation.
Developed specifically for the demands of golf environments, the TCT Fairway Trencher is designed to deliver clean, accurate trenching across fairways where surface finish, reinstatement quality and operational efficiency are critical.
Its established reputation with contractors worldwide reflects a focus on strength of build, reliability and consistent performance in large-scale drainage and irrigation projects.
The PTO-driven chain trencher offers controlled, efficient digging performance, with operators able to select trench depths of either 800 mm or 1000 mm. Adjustable trench widths of 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm allow the machine to be configured to suit a wide range of fairway drainage, irrigation and services applications. A reduction gearbox enables precise control of digging speed, ensuring consistent trench profiles even in challenging ground conditions.
A key feature of the TCT Fairway Trencher is its integrated soil handling system, which has been developed to minimise disruption and clean-up on finished playing surfaces. Excavated material is elevated via a double conveyor system and deposited directly into a trailer or small truck running alongside the machine, leaving a clean trench, and significantly reducing manual labour. A crumber bar grades the trench during operation, helping to deliver a smooth, uniform finish ready for immediate installation work.
High-quality, USA-manufactured wear parts, including tungsten carbide cutting teeth, provide durability and extended service life, while a heavy-duty PTO drive shaft with slip clutch protection safeguards both tractor and machine from shock loading. Designed to operate with tractors in the 40–70 HP range, the trencher requires hydrostatic transmission or creep gears to achieve the low operating speeds needed for precision trenching on fairways.
The three-point linkage design allows the trencher to be quickly attached or removed, and the elevating conveyor system can be easily detached to convert the unit into a conventional trencher that places soil neatly to one side.
