Makita’s range of electric hedgetrimmers include models that are made at the company’s factory in Telford, Shropshire. The range also features cordless models using Lithium-Ion battery technology and petrol models ranging from 22.2cc – 25.4cc.
Included in the range are three long-reach pole hedge trimmers. The EN4950H has the longest overall length of 2.55 metres and is powered by the 25.4cc Makita MM4 4-stroke engine that delivers 1.03hp and 1.1Nm of torque. The MM4 engine is providing major fuel economies for landscape contractors with the additional benefits of low noise and clean emissions.
Weighing just 6.9kg the Makita EN4950H pole hedge trimmer blade can be set at 13 alternative angle positions through a 135° arc from 45° tilt-up angle, to 90° tilt-down angle from the straight shaft horizontal position.
The Twin 18v hedgetrimmer is now available with a 650mm blade. The DUH651Z will run up to 1,800 strokes per minute and cut up to 18mm diameter branches. It has five alternative handle positions and variable speed control.
